The comprehensive plan is best suited to medium to large employers with 50 employees or more and offers the ultimate levels of investment and insured benefit flexibility. It also applies an integrated and independent consulting model to meet more needs and deliver better value to all stakeholders. This plan allows for:
- a choice of four management committee default investment strategies
- member investment choice which includes 28 different portfolios
- management committee choice investment strategy from the range of portfolios approved by the trustees
- your own fund bank account
- extensive reporting such as cashflow and Enhanced Financial Analysis (EFA)
- one (or more) formal annual meetings with participating employers and management committees to discuss important fund matters
Core
This core plan is best suited to small to medium employers with 15 employees or more and a minimum of five employees. It also applies an integrated and independent consulting model to meet more needs and deliver better value to all stakeholders. This plan allows for:
- a choice of five default investment strategies within the fund
- member investment choice which includes 28 portfolios
- a centralised bank account
- one formal annual meeting with participating employers and management committees to discuss important fund matters
Base
The base plan is suitable for small businesses (SMEs) looking for basic benefits. A minimum of ten members must participate in the fund. As a result of economies of scale, this plan’s value lies in its cost effectiveness. It is a structured, package offering that requires no management committee. It offers:
- one investment option: AF Retirement Navigator
- one of four life and disability insurance solutions
- a centralised bank account
- one formal annual telephonic or virtual meeting to discuss important fund matters
- ongoing email and telephonic support
Customised
This plan offers a framework for very large schemes looking for a bespoke solution. It’s an ideal umbrella fund solution if:
